GriefShare®
A 13-week Faith-based Grief Recovery Program
If you have experienced the death of a loved one, then this program is designed for you! GriefShare is a video-driven 13-week grief recovery program that is sponsored by, and offered in a local church. Over 8,000 churches are now participating in the GriefShare program nationwide, and many people have been helped in their journey through grief. Joy in the Mourning® Center is happy to be partnering with St. Andrews Presbyterian Church to offer this program in the Irmo area. You do not have to pre-register for the program, and you do not have to attend all the sessions in order to benefit from it. Each session is designed to stand alone and addresses a different topic related to grief. The video portion makes up 30 minutes of each session, and the rest of the time Linda Gill will facilitate group discussion and answer questions. Over the 13 weeks, you will learn ways to help yourself through your grief, experience support and understanding from others who are grieving the loss of a loved one, and begin your journey toward healing.

If you would like to find a GriefShare program nearer to your geographic area, or one that meets at a different time, go to www.griefshare.org and look for a program at a church near you. You can mix and match programs at different churches if you like. That way you can catch up if you have missed some of the topics that have been covered.
