Support Groups are self-help groups where people who have common experiences with loss come together to share and help each other find healing. Our Support Groups are funded by individuals or corporate sponsors who believe that these groups are needed in the community.
"From Grief to Joy" Support Group for the Death of a Loved One
3nd Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
This grief support group is for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. If you have lost a loved one, this group provides an opportunity to discover a healing path through loss. Even though the circumstances of loss may vary, sharing experiences with others is often the first step in moving through the journey of grief. This group is offered at no charge, funded through the generosity of Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes and Cemeteries. No pre-registration is necessary. We hope you will join us.

Directions to the Family Life Center:
When you get to Lexington Baptist Church, turn onto Efird Street (Efird runs between the church and the Christian Counseling Center of Lexington). Go one block. The Family Life Center will be on the left, at the intersection of Efird and Butler Streets, just past the parking lot behind the counseling center. Park in front or back of the Family Life Center.
“Gone Too Soon Support” for Grieving Parents
1st Tuesday each month from 7 – 8:30 p.m.
This monthly grief support group is for parents who have experienced the death of a child of any age. If you’ve lost a child, this group is a safe place to receive support and discover you’re not alone. Sharing your experience with other parents who understand is often the first step in moving through the journey of grief. This group is offered at no charge, funded through the generosity of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation. No pre-registration is required. Please consider joining us.

Pet Loss Support - "Waiting at the Rainbow Bridge"
3rd Monday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Pets become family members and give us unconditional affection. They can be our best friends or confidantes. If you have experienced the death or disappearance of a pet, or have had to put a pet to sleep, this monthly grief support group is just for you. The group is for adults and teens. It is offered at no charge, funded through the generosity of Cherokee Trail Veterinary Hospital and Lake Murray Animal Hospital. No pre-registration is required. We hope you will join us.

Directions to Park Road:
Come into Lexington. Park Road is just off Columbia Avenue (Hwy 378). From the intersection of Columbia Avenue at Main Street (where Rush’s, Wells Fargo, Walgreens, and Flight Deck are), follow Columbia Avenue one more block to Park Road at the next traffic light. “Cook Out” will be on your left, and the old Sinclair gas station building will be on your right. Turn right onto Park Road. The Lexington Leisure Center will be on the right just past the Sinclair gas station. You’ll see two entrances into the building. Entrance to the Senior Center is on the left (nearest the flagpole).
